Privacy
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your device, in an encrypted SQLite database. No cloud, no servers, no analytics. The full breakdown lives in the privacy policy.
What if I lose my phone?
Without a backup, your data is gone. We can't recover it because we never had a copy. Use Settings → Export data to write a JSON backup to your phone (or a cloud drive of your choice) on a schedule that suits you.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Yes. Export from the old device, copy the JSON file across, and import on the new device. Your journeys, logs, and events come with you.
Payment & trial
What's included in the free trial?
Everything. The 7-day trial unlocks the full feature set — there is no "free tier" with reduced functionality. After the trial, you pick the plan that works for you.
Why three pricing options?
Some people want to try the app for a month before committing. Others want to pay once and never think about it again. So we offer both: $2.99/month, $17.99/year (about 50% off monthly), or $29.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase.
Is the launch offer permanent?
No. For the first 3 months from launch, lifetime access is $14.99 instead of $29.99 — a founders' discount. After that window closes, lifetime returns to its standard $29.99 price.
Will I be charged again?
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically through your App Store or Google Play account until you cancel. Lifetime is a single one-time payment — no further charges, ever. You can cancel a subscription any time from your phone's store settings.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can move between monthly and annual via your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. To switch from a subscription to lifetime, cancel the subscription and buy lifetime — they're different product types in the stores, so there's no automatic proration.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It stays on your device. Even if your subscription lapses, the paywall keeps an Export Data button so you can save a backup file at any time. Re-subscribe (or buy lifetime) later and everything is right where you left it.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by the platform you purchased on. Open the App Store or Google Play, find Medoro in your purchase history, and request a refund there. We don't process payments, so we can't refund you directly.
Using Medoro
Why a daily check-in instead of just journaling?
Because small changes are easiest to spot when you measure the same things the same way every day. Journaling is great too — the 16 daily ratings are what make the long-term trend visible on a chart.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing breaks. Streaks have a one-day grace window so a missed check-in doesn't reset the count, and the timeline simply has a gap where the day would have been. The patterns over weeks matter; the perfect-attendance calendar doesn't.
How do the insights work?
All pattern detection runs on your device. Medoro compares your last few weeks of check-ins, looks for trends, and surfaces the ones worth your attention. No AI, no cloud — simple rules over your own data. Nothing leaves the phone.
Does Medoro work without internet?
Almost entirely. The only outbound network calls are: the occasional medication-database update download, and (if you use it) the in-app feedback form. Everything else runs offline.
